I just went to see the Queen musical We Will Rock You at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.  It's been a long day and I'm too tired to talk much about it tonight (expect my comments and synopsis of it to appear in tomorrow's blog) but I think I'm morally obliged to share the highlight of my experience now.

I saw Brian May - the guitarist of Queen.  He joined the cast at the end of the show and played the guitar riff in Bohemian Rhapsody.  Honestly, as a life-long Queen fan, hearing that live was one of the greatest moments of my life.  I could die happy now.  Brian May.  Playing Bohemian Rhapsody.  Live.  *Squee*!

The cast part.  A man with impressively long, curly hair takes the stage.  He raises his axe.  The audience falls silent.  Monkey breaks that silence saying "Who's that?".  Honestly, what do they teach young people now?

If I had been a few rows closer, I think I would have felt obliged to launch some personal articles at him...
