My MRI showed that I have a brain, and nothing else.  Although there still could be something minor causing the papilledema (my current bet is it's linked to my anaemia), it's not caused by anything life-threatening.  Doctor F has made me a routine appointment with a neurologist to check out other possibilities, but this probably won't be for a few months.

Thank-you, all, for your concern and good wishes.  I'm not dying at this particular time...

I've also decided to take a little holiday.  Vlad's gone home, but I'm remaining in Cumbria until the weekend.  Yesterday, I took a little walk around Furness Abbey - our local ruin.  Today, I'm going to relax, play World of Warcraft and watch Total Recall for the dissertation.  I hear that the pub where I used to work is having a beer festival on Saturday so I'm definitely staying for that ;)

My health: not great

*clap* Good for you! Hope you destroy the lich king's forces, and uh.. could you send a beer this way?

Thanks Rosco. Working on the Lich King's forces right now, though priests aren't exactly suited to destroying anything... I'm sending you invisible, intangible beer right now. Hope you get it soon ;)

Great to get your update - happy news! I'm so pleased for you. As I wrote a while back, I suspected this was coming when there seemed such a casual attitude to the follow through. But poor patients often get left in limboland, which is stressful. But I also guess the medicoes can't say much when they're not sure. Enjoy the break and do some fun things like you mention. It's the Queen's Birthday w/end in Oz coming w/e - is that so in the UK too?

Thanks Groffy. I also hoped that the long wait meant that there would be good news, but decided not to get my hopes too high. We don't celebrate the Queen's birthday unless it's a big one, so no holidays for us :(

That's awesome!! I'm glad everything turned out okay. Sucks being sick and not knowing the exact cause, but at least you know it's not life threatening =)

Yup, that's the main thing :)
